RVR started with a payroll crisis.

Before RVR existed, Joe Raymond built and sold two staffing companies. The first nearly broke him.


Revenue was growing, but the business was losing money. Expansion became distraction. Credit cards were maxed. Mortgages were leveraged. For three years, there was no paycheck.


The turning point came the week payroll almost didn’t clear.
That moment forced a complete reset. Joe brought in outside advisors, rebuilt the company’s operating structure, and learned firsthand that growth without discipline can destroy a business.


Those lessons became the foundation of RVR.

The help that changed everything became the model.

The advisors Joe brought in weren’t traditional consultants. They were experienced operators who challenged assumptions, created accountability, and helped rebuild the business strategically.


At the same time, a marketing consultant reframed how the company sold its services, shifting the conversation from transactional staffing to providing true business value.


That combination changed everything.


The business became the number-one staffing company in its market, earned national growth recognition, and ultimately sold through a competitive bidding process.


But the biggest lesson wasn’t the exit.
It was understanding how much different the journey could have been with the right guidance earlier.

After exiting his first company, Joe experienced something many founders never talk about: a loss of purpose.


People kept asking how he had built and sold the business, so he started helping owners informally. Over time, those conversations became the early version of RVR.
The vision was simple.
